What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy is a treatment that is medically based to provide support to individuals experiencing difficulties or limitations in daily life functions. In the area of pediatrics, this includes, but is not limited to, supporting the development of sensory processing, visual perception and fine motor and visual-motor integration. These areas of development are often directly related to many academic and social skills required for life.
Occupational Therapy is particularly helpful for children with developmental delays, learning disabilities, and those diagnosed on the Autistic Spectrum.
